The year of the rat will be an exciting one for Chinese automotive companies, especially for the New Energy Vehicle companies!

The upcoming year will be an exciting one for New Energy Vehicle (NEV) companies in China, as many of them just start selling their NEV cars and will gain first sales results. This is happening in a tense environment, as sales figures of new car sales in the Chinese market have dropped in 2018 and 2019 after they increased for more than twenty consequent years. On top, subsidies for NEV vehicles were reduced, however, there seems to be a tactical change.

AIWAYS – The Unknown Future of the Car Industry

Nowadays, Tesla is well known for targeting the future energy car market. As this will be a huge market in the future, also a large number of start-ups and other companies are working hard to gain some market share in this economy. Among those, I have identified a hidden pioneer – AIWAYS.

Why You Should NOW Start Learning From the Chinese Economy

China’s economy is steadily increasing in importance and it is likely that it will be the globally most important one in the near future. Yet, it is fascinating, how little people outside China know about an industry, that has brought up totally different players than the markets in the rest of the world. The more the US has to deal with what its current president is destroying, the clearer the strength of the Chinese long-term strategy becomes. Only if we learn from the ones that are different from us, the ones that choose new ways of doing things, and the ones that are more successful in what they do, we can learn, adapt, and improve ourselves.

Digital Farming Platforms are Emerging

The Digital transformation is bringing people together on one platform that could earlier not talk or interact with each other. In the retail industry, eBay and Alibaba are just two of many examples. In the healthcare industry, there are online platforms like Lloyds Pharmacy from celesio that enable an online doctor-patient interaction. For Digital Farming, there is as well a lot of potential for farmers, suppliers, customers, and collaboration partners to interact, make business, and benefit from each other.

How to Adapt an Enterprise Architecture Framework to Today’s Digital Environment?

As most of today’s architecture frameworks are quite old (from the 80s and 90s), many companies ask for adaptions to it or even do not believe in the benefit of such frameworks at all. In this post, I will suggest a modernized framework that takes into account what today’s companies need to consider and that better fits to today’s business environment.

When it comes to cloud, infrastructures, and application development environments, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the leading companies (besides Microsoft Azure and Alibaba). How is the TOGAF 9.2 Framework Impacted by Digital Transformation?

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) has recently published an updated version of its framework. After the last version 9.1 from 2011, the update 9.2 in April 2018 has been the first update in the last seven years. In the context of IT, Digital, and the increased pace of change that we face today, seven years is for sure a long time. I will therefore use todays post to analyze, how TOGAF has actually reacted to the Digital Transformation and how the framework has been impacted by the changes in the last seven years.

A Simple Example of Why Germany is Not a Leader in Digitalization
